Introducing Kelvin

Kelvin, the NCSF's Spokesbot!

Kelvin, the NCSF’s Spokesbot!

We’d like you to meet Kelvin, the North Carolina Science Festival’s spokesbot. Throughout the festival, which runs from April 5 – April 21, 2013, Kelvin will be featured in several of our blog and social media posts to help encourage children to find the fun in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)!

As an official partner with the North Carolina Science Festival (NCSF), we’re excited to have Kelvin explore our facility and help promote the Festival. Here are a few interesting facts about Kelvin, provided by the NCSF.

Kelvin’s favorite foods are bolts, batteries, microchips and… like many true North Carolinians… barbecue! In his spare time, he enjoys watching NASCAR and SCUBA diving and is looking forward to taking up spelunking in the future. He loves techno music and is most passionate about the fields of marine science and geology.

Kelvin has a high-tech pet – a robot built to act like a baby Camarasaurus – just like our own Indiana Bones’ pet Cameron!
